USB thumb drive with stock radio?

Can a stock radio (2013) read a usb data stick if I hook it up via the plug in front of the stereo?

you'll have to provide a picture to get an definitive answer.
I only know of the aux jack that is for a stereo mini plug with analog audio. If your 2013 m.y. unit has some type of usb or data input that's news to me.

Are you thinking of using one of the stereo jack to USB end? Those won't work with thumb drives, both USB ends are male plugs.

That plug in the front is analog, expecting audio input.

A USB is a serial data device, not analog.

No way it could be made to work.

You can burn a lot of music to a CD and play it as mp3.

Just plug in my phone which I have music stored and set to random. Did a 1620 mile 6 day trip and never had the same song play twice.
