Stage 1 Dyno

I am new to the HD world and to be honest riding bikes all together. RGC 2013/ 103 - installed a Dragos 2:1 exhaust, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and a PC-V. Below are my results - are my numbers consistent with a stage 1 build? Thanks

Numbers seem a little low from what's been posted from Dyno to Dyno on this website from Dynos all over the US. But a lot depends gear ratio timing etc.,
Avg
78/82 hp
98/100 tq
Stock 103

I am thinking the same thing! I am in the market for my wheels at the moment so I can't drop another $300 to be retuned! I am pissed! LOL

Its better than it was though... Anyone know a good dyne shop near Fort Bragg, NC??

That seems about right for a stage one. The important factor is not peak numbers so much as the nice hp and tq curve compared to the stock ones.

i have to disagree it seems right for stage 1. Most 12's are high 60's to low 70's to begin with. Mine made almost 73 HP Stock with about 12k on the bike and fresh oil change. Sadly I haven't had mine Dynoed since I installed S/C/S-4, Zipper and PV. But I know its definitively above stock 73 HP. If I can get on a Dyno before I order a Cam from Frank I will. Just to see the difference. Hopefully there will a HP shootout before cam goes in on 20K service.

My first reaction was that it might be a touch low. That said, dyno's are not all the same and conditions are not all the same. I think you are in the 'acceptable' range even if at the low end of it. The good thing is how nice and flat your power curve is. Very usable power throughout the band. Numbers don't mean a thing when you are riding anyway...

Well weathered leather, hot metal and oil. The scented country air.
Sunlight on chrome, the blur of the landscape. Every nerve aware!

D&D Numbers

The numbers seem a bit low. I did the D&D Boss Fat Cat, HD heavy breather and Harley tuner my dyno was 86hp 103 FPT.

What gear was that pull in?

2014 Street Glide Special, Vivid Black, TTS, Ness inverted a/c, Jackpot 2-1-2 head pipe, Crusher Mellow slip-ons, dyno tuned, JRI shocks.

Alot of considerations here, dont get hung up on numbers. Many ppl claim they get the same numbers with a stage 1 build as the average stage 2 build gets. Tuners can do lots of things to fudge numbers in addition to things you cant control like heat, miles on motor, elevation of tune. The before and after graphs are whats important, you want to see the gains your bike made. Every Dyno is different. I have seen tests done with same bike dyno'd on 3 different dynos within 100 miles of each other, and got 3 different results. Same mods and tune, the only thing different was what dyno was used.
