Lindsey Lohan build. Don't judge!

After a little peer pressure the last few days, I decided to do my first build thread. I built most of my bike for one reason and one reason alone. I walked into a custom shop in Dallas, Texas to ask about a paint job. I had looked at hundred of hundred of different styles. I had narrowed it down to 3 one off jobs that i liked the scheme to follow. The owner said "Sure, bring the bike we will will get it done!" He followed up with some other stuff that the paint would cost 6-8k with a 40 hour labor charge just under $3,400. I smiled and walked out. I went online the next day and bought me a direct lift to begin my two month journey.
Day 1

I did most of the back end first just to build confidence on the front fairing. I watch plenty of videos on YouTube to help get me prepared like I have dont this before. I look at bags and fenders until I had joint pain every evening. I just stared pulling parts to get powder coat first and decide later.

I looked on several forums about suspension. Suspension is like beer flavor. No one ever likes the same unless its free. SO until I get sponsored, Air Ride it is. I chose JNR Designs out of Oklahoma. Jason is part owner, will text on any day of the week, and is super helpful.

My master tech doing work.

Custom paint shop.

I chose the 21" Ion wheel from Wanaryd. The were very helpful. I love the look of the 23" and up but didn't want to rake it. I raked my old Dyna with a lot of heartache. It also had horrible road manors. SO I leave well enough alone now days when I have a bike I plan to ride the country on.

Got some of my body work in from Baddad Baggers. Thisis another group of guys that were wonderful in customer service. Scott Walker in sales answered I bet 150 emails from me.

Yes those are frenched in turn signals.

Waiting on paint and body work. I usually lock the wife in the closet and have a beer with Lindsey to relax some. JK JK

The powder coat came out really well. The guy didnt do a super awesome job on the prep work but overall I'm happy.

Now we can start seeing some sexiness added on.

Took a flapper disk, then some super fine sand paper to the fins of the covers to give it a machined look again. The black HD symbol was my idea as well.

A good friend of mine and I wiring in the tail lights and not getting in the Candy Paint.

I had the local Harley dealer install the front fork sliders, wheel, top end and cams. I don't have the tool or knowledge yet......

I got my bars and all the audio installed prior to getting the motor work. Also had all the bags finished up and ready to just set on the bike. These are 10" KST Outlaws. I really don't like the feel for me. I should have went higher and rolled the bars back. not have much pull back has me leaned forward quite a bit.

Focal audio and Arlen Ness latches to help accentuate the tire.

Here is a little pron shot for you guys!!! Im heading to the beach....TBC

I didn't realize until afterwards on the 8 pic limit so this build thread kind of got messed up. SO Ill do the audio take down here.

This is Lindsey at her fresh into rehab state.

More custom paint on the chrome gauge bezels. Sanded those down then shot them with Rustoleum Truck bed liner. Again, don't judge..

Stage 4 from Soundz Customz or Focal 165s

Arc Moto 600.4 installed and ready to help me have hearing loss...

Reference for guys that want to know what speaker I have.

Speakers in the lids were a breeze. Just a little bit of TV and a pretty Sunday morning.

Head unit and bars buttoned up.
