13RGC build

Might as well start a build thread. Lets start with a little history. I bought my Candy Orange RG in Feb. 2017. Its a 2013 with 50k, thats right 50 thousand miles, but damn is she in great shape. Picked it up mostly stock. It had a 12" Klock Werks windshield, and a set of J&M speakers. Also came with a set of 3.5" Rinehart Slip-ons but the dealer wouldnt sell it with them installed due to the lack of a tune. So I rode her home from the dealership 32 miles and parked her in my shop... Thats where it all started. Now Im terrible at taking pictures but Im going to have to start taking more to keep this thread going.

First things first. Those stock bars had to go. Ive put bars on my previous bikes so figured it shouldnt be to bad. Man was I wrong. Almost threw up when I priced out the extension kits. Did some research on the forums and found 12" bars dont need extensions. I always did 14" prior to this bike, the bars were always high, my arms hurt on long rides but it was so badass I didnt care. Well I threw badass right out the door... sort of. I decided I want to be badass and comfortable. So 12" Road 6 Customs bars in Gloss black is where i landed. Not the T-bars that Ill end up doing in the future but Im happy with them. I was on a budget so I went with the 1" diameter bars... NEVER AGAIN!! After the bars were done I threw the Rinehart Slip-ons that came with bike on. Sounds ok. Not quite loud enough but better than stock. I also gutted the Cat Shortly after gave the bike a little more sound. It was alot cheaper than a new headerpipe and Ill be doing a 2-1 when I get the money so spending a ton on a head pipe just seemed like a waste. After cruising around a couple hundred miles I decided it just needed more oomph. Hello Power Commander. Woke the old girl right up Fast Forward another Few Hundred miles and now she breathes like an olympic sprinter thanks to the Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather.

Thats what Ive done for now. Got a looooong list of things to do. Workin on upgrading the sound system now. Ill post updates as i figure out what i want to do. Also got a ton of chrome that needs to dissapear so shell be changing here and there. It will be a slow process. Getting Married in November so for fear of my life, I cant spend all of my money on bike parts hahaha.

Will post a few pics when i get them loaded on my computer

If it's in good shape the miles don't mean a thing.
Definitely read my post on bike running erratically and purchase a purge pipe cap . The heat wipes those little puppies out and they crack and fall off, then you go crazy wondering WTF is wrong. They are $3 at Harley, cheap insurance.
