Personalization Continues

Well, I've had my '13 Road Glide for 3 or 4 weeks now. I've posted about a couple of changes I've made already but I am continuing to get it the way I want. I've been riding my old bike for over 14 years so pretty much had it all setup the way I wanted. This one will get there but it takes some time and even more so....MONEY.

I plan to leave on Friday to do about a 2500 mile weekend trip. Plan to be back home on Sunday. Will know then what my next additions will be. Most all my changes up until now are comfort and touring related. Haven't even started with the engine yet but I know I will be getting rid of the cat within the next two or three weeks. Probably won't do a stage one yet but will at some point. The cat has to go though.

So far.....

Comfort style bag crash bars and nostalgic bag guards.
Luggage rack.
Bushtec hitch.
Harley offset highway pegs.
Harley riders backrest.
Mustang wrap around passenger backrest.
Mustang saddlebag lid covers.
Harley split vision mirrors.
KuryAkyn perch mount GPS mount.
KuryAkyn perch mount riders cup holder.
KuryAkyn passenger drink holder.
Harley passenger grab rails with covers.
KuryAkyn adjustable tour pack relocator
12 volt accessory outlet in right upper box to charge phone while streaming Pandora.
Harley pushbutton/lockable gas cap cover
Heritage style handlebars

Will have to take some pictures and get my album started but so far, I'm happy with all the accessories I've added. This weekends trip will be solo so won't be able to get my wife's feedback on the passenger mods.

Two other things that I'll be doing soon is adding passenger highway pegs and probably a new windshield. Then I'll start looking towards the stage one kit but that will have to wait a while. Bike budget is getting depleted. May end up selling one of my Martin guitars to fund that one.

Sounds like your on your way, good job!

But take my advice, don't ever sell a guitar to fund another hobby unless you're just not feeling it. It will lead to regret later on.

Out of town on business right now but will take some pics when I get home tomorrow.

I know what you are saying about selling a guitar...but...I'm not a very good player and my guitars are much too good for me. I do love them though.

Its like an obsession isnt it?

I have only had my bike a couple weeks but I am so anxious to get stuff installed and start personalizing it.

Ride On!

Yes it is. I had to edit my first post....forgot to mention the Heritage style handlebars.

Yes, it can be an obsession but until you make it your own...it's just another bike.

dk, Im moving your thread to the 'Document your build' thread. That way you can continually update it in one place and everyone can see the progression.

You may very well be right. I've heard that from several people. I've never owned a motorcycle that I didn't replace the seat on and have a Corbin on my other bike. I tell you though, so far, the seat on this bike seems to really suit me well. The longest day I've had though is about 450 miles so we'll see.
