Sean, I found this while installing CVO Lids. I thought it was a cheap set up by HD. So: Go to your local Ace Hardware and buy STainless Steel Screws the same size, ( I don't recall the size ) but longer. Remove 1 screw from your lid and cut the new screw slightly longer, almost the size of the metal plate it screws into, Smooth off the end cut you made and replace it in your hinge. It should be even with the Hinge, if it sticks out it will hit the Rubber Seal. Once you get the Correct size cut correctly, you can cut all of them at one time and replace them one at a time using BLUE lock tight. (In case you have to remove them again). It seems like a lot more work than what it is but its easy if you have a way of cutting and smoothing out the the end cut you made.
