removing fairing paint

anybody had any luck on removing the paint from the outer fairing ? i got an outer of a 2012 that had some repairable damage..The paint was cracked and peeled off ok...just wondering if anybody had other ideas. thanks

Sanding. If its already painted, just scuff, repair, prime and paint.

If the paint is actually peeling off then there is an adheasion problem. It all needs to come off and start over.

Glass bead media, low angle from at least 2-3 feet away, lower pressure as well.

Slow and easy. Frankie is right. Adhesion is lost. Surface needs to be roughened to a 1-1.5 mil profile to hold the primer.
