Front fender recommendation, '13 FLTRU

Hit a damn deer yesterday on M119 here in northern lower Michigan. Small deer, stayed up, so I'm fine, but front fender is hosed.

I'm looking for suggestions, I have an 18" Agitator up front. I want something between a complete wrap around the tire, and the stock one. Just a bit more streamlined.

Any suggestions?

when i had to replace the wife's front fender, we went with the cvo fender. it sits about 3/4'' closer to the tire than the stock fender, but still retains the stock look. had it painted by joe at xtreme dimension in new jersey and it still came out about the same cost as the stock fender would have.

Here are some pics of the damage. Fender is toast of course, but I only have a small scratch on the left fork. I wanted to use this as an opportunity to upgrade to Ness legs and monotubes, but I cant imagine they'd replace it for a scratch.

My right fork bell is dented. So to replace a cheap piece of tin they are going to have to remove that fork.

With a $250 deductible I think this is still going to cost me a decent amount of coin.

depends on your insurance company. i have progressive. when we (actually me) were doing some work on the wife's bike, i had lowered it on the jack. only, i didn't lower it enough to support the weight on the jiffy stand, but was too low to support the weight on the jack. pushed on something and the bike started to go over. i was sitting on the ground, so i grabbed the 'crash bar' (or engine guard if you prefer ) and was trying to hold it. well, 900 lbs plus gravity is awful hard to hold from a point that low so over it went.

anyway to make a long story short, when the adjuster came out, she said because of the bike's age (2012, and this was late last year), i could 'demand' (her words, not mine) a new fender as opposed to them fixing the damaged one. it got a paint chip and scratch at the bottom of the skirt. so i said i wanted a new one. by the time she got finished, she had me up to about $1300 in damage after the deductible. scratch on the highway peg, scratch on the floorboard, scratch on the engine guard, etc....

I assume you ordered a primed blank from the moco? How long did it take to get it? I'm hoping they ship the blanks pretty fast vs painted. Of course the CVO didnt come in midnight pearl so I have no choice but to order a primed one and have it painted, but I've heard it can take some time to get sheet metal from them.
