Denim Paint / Permanent Water Spots
Has anyone else with Black Denim experienced what looks like water marks/spots in their paint? When I say in, I mean it's not coming off with a microfiber and ammonia free windex, HD denim cleaner, car wash detergent, etc. It's there, and it ain't f*@k'n around about holding on tight.
Backstory: We moved over this past fall and the bike shared a NTU two-car garage with the wife's daily driver over the winter. I'm in PA, so we're talking snow and salt coming into the garage via her ride. It's not being splashed around while she rolls in at 2mph, but it's there. I noticed in the late winter / early spring that the heat from her vehicle in combination with the moisture she was bringing into the garage with it was causing a lot of condensation to form on the garage door windows - two garage doors, one per stall. It was getting humid/stuffy in there. Because I was doing minor stuff with the bike over the winter, I never covered it. I noticed the spots late spring. But, I also didn't notice any other oxidation/corrosion on the bikes chrome or paint and these marks seem to be localized mainly to the rear fender...closest to the garage door (bike is pulled straight in just like the car is and the rear end is a few feet from the garage door). No drips or over head leaks onto the bike.
Any ideas? Nothing has ever been over-sprayed onto the bike (to the best of my knowledge). Any Denim owners out there run into these spots/marks before?
