engine coating peeling

Not sure that "Paint & Bodywork Section" is where this belongs but here goes.......

The coating on my '05 engine case is peeling/flaking off in several different spots.

What, if anything, can be done to stop or repair this? Anyone else have this going on? Open to suggestions.

This is my daily rider......so keeping it spotless and detailed is NOT my thing.....just thought if I could head this off I would try.

Thanks

I've run into the same problem with our old dyna.
I cleaned the areas really good with citrus degreaser, then masked around it and primed / then repainted it. You have to wipe off any excess that gets on engine fins, if you want to spray between them.
It worked wonders, the engine looks new again.

Thanks, I might have to check that stuff out........shame the wrinkle coating only comes in black and red.......my case is grey or silver......something along that line. I might see how well the engine enamel matches.
