gun finishing. sprayer or airbrush

For finishing my gun what should i get? Harbor freight has a gravity fed sprayer for really cheap. Is there a specific type of sprayer i should look for?
Can an airbrush do that with good results or should i keep with a sprayer?
Any help appreciated.

If you are refinishing a rifle stock a small HVLP siphon/gravity feed gun like this one would work just fine. You can find one online or just go to your local autobody supply jobber.

The "harbor freight" guns are almost worth the box they put them in

I bought a kit from arts supply store which came with an airbrush (it was the paasche airbrush kit) and worked well for about four guns before it broke. Airbrush is probably better for gun refinishing than a general sprayer and easier to use.

What are you using? duracoat? cerakote? I recommend going to a autobody supply and buying a "jamb" gun which is just a small hvlp gravity gun usually with a 1mm tip.

This has really turned out to be a great little gun!
You can turn it down and do some small stuff or fan it out and back out the flow knob and shoot tanks and fenders if you want.
