Lower fairings

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I did a search and didn't find anything.

I am working on a paint scheme to have my Ultra repainted. The painter and I both want to paint the lower fairing glove boxes to match the bike. I know I can replace the stupid snap doors with plastic locking doors, but my concern is with the glove box itself. It seems to be a softer material than the inner fairing or anything else, and I'm just wondering if it can be painted.

I know I can put speaker inserts in there, but I listen to music through my headset so I don't need speakers.

I would think you can paint it. The ones I have are painted.

They are easily painted. Just make sure they're prepped properly before paint. They come from the factory as a raw black plastic. ABS I think.
