Dual Cool Engine Guards

Im removing my engine guard to go for powder coating, my question is this... do I have to remove the entire front fairing and the cooling system? I have the manual, and it says to just let the lowers hang but the supports for the upper fairing that connect to the engine guard are also going in for the PC treatment... will the entire fairing need to come off?

thanks a ton,

So, as I suspected, the engine guard comes off, without an issue with the front lowers still attached to the bike via the coolant hoses. AS for the upper supports, I have to pull the front outter off to get the bolt holding it on, but thats all.

69 views, and you answered your own question. I'm ordering my manual tonight. Thanks for the update, good to know. When you say you had to pull the front outter, are you talking about the top cap of the lower?

Yes and no, you do have to pull that cap. What Im talking about is the main upper fairing. The outer needs to come off so I can get to the bolt holding the upper fairing support off.
