Fender support question

I'm getting a tour pak. Just got the call all the parts are here for the quick detach. In the process I plan on blacking out my fender supports. Here's the question:

Do I need a lift? If I do one side at a time, I suspect it'll be easy to knock out in the driveway. Are there any nuts up in the fender or is it just 3 bolts on each side that lock into the fender? I mean, it looks pretty straight forward....

Yes, I'm being impatient. I suppose I could look it up, but I'm not all that awesome at this stuff and I'm hoping for a little feedback from people who have been there and done that.
