As the title says i need help with the Candy Orange paint on a 2013 custom. Last winter I got a tourpak and speaker lids at a great price and decided that i was going to buy the "factory pack" or whatever its call for the paint. Got a deal on that too since my sister in law worked at a dealership, however after reassembling everything and getting it in the sun the parts that were painted are definitely not candy orange but more of a red metallic. I asked my sister in law about it and she said the parts guys pulled the paint numbers from my vin# so there was no way it was the wrong paint. What i'm wondering is does anyone with this color or anyone know of a painter who has pretty much matched this? Or a guy that you know can match it.

I'm waiting for a local body shop to get back to me..

Tough color to match. ..i ordered an inner fairing from the moco. mine did not match according to my eye test. Like yours, way on the red side. Problem is no returns on painted items. I also tried one from Pauls painted inner fairings at a rally. That was also really red so i gave up and like my stocker. Maybe you got the same batch as my bike, a more orange from the factory than they are now shooting.
I can recommend a guy who i know does some really nice work. He will have you send him a side cover, bag or something and get you a really nice match. Check out mikes hawg paint, sorry no link but you can google his website or 530-651-3114.

A++++ on Mikes Hawg Paint. Bruckus is right, it’s a hard color to match. I have a 2011 Sedona orange and ordered a painted inner from the factory that’s a little off in color. I remember when I first got my bike all the problems people where’re having matching this color. I know you said yours is candy orange, is very close to the Sedona orange. I had Mike paint some lids for me a year ago and he did a great job matching the color, and he’s a great guy also, sends pics of the process and updates. He’s usually pretty busy though. If that tells you anything . I haven’t seen him post on here In very long time. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.

I second this post. I had him do an inner fairing on my 2013 candy orange RG and he matched it, dead on. Give him a call, he can match your paint.
