Question Scorched Orange Inner Fairing??

I'm debating on getting a custom-painted inner fairing. If you can think of pros and cons, now is the time to hit me with 'em.

Do you think an inner fairing in this color would be a distraction or maybe cause additional glare? If so, have you experienced that on any bike you've owned?

It depends on you.

I think it would look awesome!

I thought about getting my superior blue RGU color matched especially because the RGU are unpainted, but then I saw a picture of one and felt like I would be admiring it when I should be paying attention to the road.

Painted inner fairing is so many levels above the bare plastic. Totally adds to the bike 100%. Do it

I think it's the one mega-co$tly bodywork bit that is worth the money.

Any time you seen one, it looks fantastic, no matter what the colour.

I've sprung for one even before I see my 2019 kinetic green FLTRX, which won't arrive down here til Feb. I can't stand the cheap-ass plastic stock item.

I will love the paint on my gas tanks and bags too, but I won't be taking my eyes off the road to admire them. That's for secret late-night beer-in-garage time LOL

Do it.

It was one of the first things I did when I bought my 2011 Sedona orange. I think it really completeís the look of the bike. I think they should come from the factory painted. No glare issues at all, but it is nice to look at. Do it you wonít be sorry.

Do it. Looks so much better. My last two bikes came that way and it makes a huge difference. No distraction or glare 99.99% of the time.

A.K.A OBB

If you decide you want one, check out these guys.

The Fairing XChange

Costs a lot less than buying one from HD, and they install it. Since they use Harley Paint, they probably can get that color for you.

You might also consider an offsetting color. I had a 2009 Mirage Orange FLTR, and I went with a Vivid Black inner fairing. Yeah, it was already black, but the painted version looked so much better. Plus, I already knew that Mirage Orange and Vivid Black went well together as those were the colors on my 2008 Nightster.

In theory, Theory and Reality are the same. In reality, they are different.
