CVO Fang spoilers

Does anyone know if the Fang spoilers on the 2019 CVO RG can be fitted to a 2018 RG Special. I heard it will fit if you buy the chopped highway bar and new fairing mounts...want to be sure.

When you buy the HD mustache engine guard it comes with the new fairing support and then yes you can install the Fang Spoilers. I bought my engine guard from Surdyke and saved some money and you can get the spoiler from them as well for almost $50 cheaper than your local shop.

I have one that I installed on my 2018 RGS and it fits just fine. You will need buy also buy the chopped engine guard to mount the spoiler to and the OEM engine guard would be in the way.

Iím pretty sure that you do not necessarily need the chopped engine guard. I think that you just need a way to support the fairing without the supports that bolt back to the engine guard.

I have the spoiler WITHOUT the engine guard or extra supports. Everything is solid.

Are you saying you do not have any type of fairing support brackets at all?

I don't need pics. My concern is that if you do not run the rear fairing support brackets you will be asking for trouble down the road. If you put all the weight of the fairing on the main brackets the vibration of the bike and just hitting bumps from normal riding will cause stress cracks and eventually break the plastic fairing up front. There are a few good choices of hidden fairing brackets that you can run and not have to worry about this.
