Battlefield Harley Davidson in Gettysburg?

I just saw another forum member who has as part of their signature section, "Battlefield Harley Davidson is a Dishonest Dealer." I think I've seen about 3 or 4 members with that in their signature. Would someone care to elaborate on why they are dishonest? This is just my own curiosity. I'm about 100 miles away so I probably will never use them. Thanks!

Just my two cents... so sad if three or four different people here have that opinion. It has to be really widespread if you think about it...

Truly a lying deceitful dealership. John the sales manager, the GM and the sales woman that sold me the bike.*

I knew I was misled a little. No biggie. It happens. But having met the original owner by shit luck on the Roadglide forum. I know now how big a scumbags they are.*

Original owner paid for a stage 4 kit. Since it was done the bike never ran right and was in the shop more than it was out. He traded it in.*

I bought it. 2011 RGU.*

Was told it was a stage 4. Ran good. So I figured ok. Issue was. Why a stock header and a stock air cleaner? Well the hack mechanics couldn't get it to run right so they blamed the V&H Power Duals.*

When the put the stock header back on. They broke a bolt in the back of the oil pan. And just left it like that.*

It pinged. I asked John if he knew anything about it..nope. and had a surprised look on his face. ****ing liar. That's one of the original complaints from the original owner.*

Then I ask why no new oil? Says it was changed 2k before I bought it. Never heard of a bike not getting a service after trade in. But later as I questioned him about the motor because I had to get it tuned and a few other things I wasn't Ed details.*
He said the top end was new. Only 1k miles. ??? No oil change because it was 2k miles old. But the top end is new within 1k miles? You draw your own conclusions but I know now. There was NO NEW TOP END DONE. He lied again.*

So original owner paid for a stage 4. Why no screaming eagle heads? My dealership (which got it running 95%) said no way they're SE heads.*

So in another conversation John says it's NOT a stage 4. Just heads and cams. T Man 590s. He's the first true thing out of his mouth. I pulled the cams. Yup. 590s. So now we know why the bike won't run right. Valves are open at the same time. Raw fuel coming out the intake. The cut back on the HP and timing and got it A LOT better. But not for me.*

Cams to big for heads. My dealership has the fortune of the service guy being a motor head that designs cams for hemi motors and actually has them made. Lucky me too.*

Final conclusion. Motor was put together all miss match. Rookie Mechanic or just a hack did the work. Only way to get the bike 100% new heads. Or new cams. I already put an exhaust, intake and enough dyno time I was cutting my losses. I did make sure they had it as best it could be before I traded it.*

Also. I asked them to give the original owner my info to call me. And the original owner told them to give the new buyer his info. They told him I was in NY. I'm in Ohio. They've since sent him a letter telling him to shop elsewhere.*

New owner loves it. 100mph Bar to bar bike. It's how he rides. So it's a good fit. He's happy. That's good.

An update. The new owner had the cams pulled and put in 255s. It had the wrong pushrods and was missing the 58mm TB 08zinc paid to have installed with the stage 4. The bike is now at 98hp and 110tq all the way down from the 125/125 he had it at. So they really stripped it back to stock with 590 cams. It's now set up to be rideable again.

Sounds like the local scumbag Sales manager by me, tired to fuck me in 2011 but i went else where , (Upstate NY) and got my glide. Sad that there are people who conduct there biz like this and give good dealers everywhere a bad name. Thanks for the heads up, even though i wont be buying a scoot from them wont even get a T-shirt now.
