Bingo! Too many "champagne and caviar" years spoiled the crap out of both HD and their dealers. They were selling every thing they could produce with little incentive to make significant improvements. Now they're scrambling to make quality improvements as well as trying to find younger enthusiasts interested in buying a HD motorcycle .... not just the T-shirt.

They have tried some things that the public doesn't know about. If it hadn't been done the recession in 09 it would have launched.

Since I don't know what "things" you are talking about I can't comment or what "coulda" or "shoulda" been. We only know what history shows us.

If H-D is trying to appeal to the skinny-jean man-bun lumbersexuals, they need to scrap the $30k electric motorcycle and bring back the 9-A or the Hummer. Those hipster douchebags will be all over it like aioli on Panera bread. “Ironically”, of course.

No, can't say that I have. But here again I would think that this V4 would be appreciable more costly than the 1920's V-twin so I doubt it would have brought in younger riders, but maybe I missed something.

4 yrs ago I went to the factory/museum on a dealer invite tour. They took us across the street from the museum to another building were they store all the pervious models. Up on the 3rd floor are the shops where the bikes are restored, I spot 2 V-4 motors sitting on the floor....when I asked about them, our guide said they knew nothing about them. Sorry for the bad photo, but had to shoot threw a chain link fencing without being caught
