On the OG CVO - Did The Deal

So the Bonnie is now gone and my Buddy wanted the Dyna Back......I knew the day would come that he might want it back and I could tell he was missing it....so he offered to to give me the $$ back, which I combined with the trade in on the Bonnie....and had some to bank......and I rode this home this afternoon.

1999 FXR3 with 3328 miles on it and purchased from the Original Owner who had it on consignment at a Dealer - Worked out a good trade (they are a Triumph Dealer too) and got the owner to come down a bit....this thing is spotless and the only thing he changed was a BUB Exhaust - All I did was move the Fork Bag to the back as I don't like the look of Fork Bags

I love the looks of this Bike and the history of the reborn FXR2 and FXR3 and what the MoCo did with them testing the water that would become the CVO....Evo Motor in a FXR Frame.....I can see why these bikes were a hit and this thing.......the Carb'ed sound, the smell, the ride......it is just a great slow and low roll that looks showroom new - Funny coincidence, the last pic....key on the left is the Key to the Wide Glide that my buddy took back.....the Key on the right is what came with the FXR3.......what are the odds of that Key Chain? - Crazy.......and like it was meant to be

Heritage for my Do All and the FXR for my Sunday Cars and Coffee rides..........I'M DONE!!!!!

Its a keeper for sure man.....always wanted an FXR and this one is spotless and LOW miles too

That Key Chain thing is crazy as my buddy bought the Wide Glide while on a ride in AZ (traded a Road King on it in '98) and kept the Key Chain......never even looked at the Key hanging out of the side of the FXR until I got home and pulled it out of the bike.........what a trip man......small world indeed

Yeah, what are the odds with the keychains lol. Just canít get over the mileage on that bike lol. That bike was ridden an average of 166 miles a year for last 20 years, crazy! Getting your hands on that bike is like winning the lotto lol

I was able to get a little but not a ton - The bikes go from anywhere between $9K and $14K and the $14K is a Unicorn price......most from what I could find were $10K to $11K with twice and three times the miles.......I was able to get them to give me a good price on the Bonnie and got them down a bit on the FXR and get the OTD price where I wanted - Consignment deals are always tough as most owners think they are worth more and when you negotiate they get mad......plus the dealer has to take his cut too so the seller loses on both sides......but the shop worked with me on the whole process and I am stoked.

Simplified now......(1) bike to ride in the Heritage and (1) bike to "special occasion" in the FXR3.....whew
