The ROKKER XX upgrade over the XTs was a much larger Neodymium magnet, larger cooling ports, and a heavier voice coil for extra durability when connected to larger amplifiers ,,,,,,

complete details here http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=45 ,,,,,

John,
Direct cycle parts is having a sale and I was thinking of changing my system I have a Rockford fosgate 2 channel amp and the J+M rocker xt speakers with the mid-twt grills I wanted to go with the 500 watt 4 channel and add the rocker speaker in my lowers was hoping to keep the xt speakers. How will that work ?

whitehair ,,,,,,

you can keep the XT speakers with the new ROKKER 500w XTP amplifier ,,,, but not sure that it makes real good sense, especially while you have the fairing all apart etc ,,, NOT to do the simple $99 upgrade from J&M ROKKER XTs to XXs ,,,,,

then just get the ROKKER XX speaker kit for your lowers as shown here http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....=HLRK-7252-RXX ,,,, and you will be 100% good to go ,,,,,,,

also ,, make sure that you purchase this EXACT amplifier kit for your upper/lower fairing speaker application http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....MP-500HR06-RCP ,,,,,,, on your RoadGlide ,,,,,

let me know if you need any assistance during the install ,,,,,,

not a night and day difference in sound but the XX's are supposed to be more durable and can handle amp to be tweaked up some more for better sound while your riding. You can just order the XX's and send them the old XT's when the XX's arrive so you won't be without speakers and they'll credit you when they receive your XT's, or send them your XT's wait for the new ones and just be charged $99. I went with the first option and ordered mine for $299 and get $199 credit once they receive mine, just sent my XT's out today.
