Radio Flash

I have a 2015 RoadGlide Special, I want to install the J&M Solo Headset Connection Harness kit 2014-15 Harley Street/RoadGlide HSPT-H14S, does the radio have to be flashed to make it work or is it plug and play. Harleys head set connector part No. 69200865, if you read the install instructions does not mention flash required, dealer says has to be done, rather not do that if I don`t have to.

You will most likely need a flash to enable headset use since the RGS's don't come with a headset like the dresser's do. It's only about a 15 minute process on Digital Tech... as long as the tech knows what he is doing.

Also... you may want to hit up JMJOHN .. he may know first-hand...

stevec ,,,,,,

NO RADIO FLASH needed ,, just plug in this cable HSPT-H14S Product Information to the back of the Harley radio and rock-n-roll, AND be able to answer on screen and talk on your cell phone, all thru the stock Harley infotainment system ,,,,,,

Steve ,,,,,,,

did you go into the menu options on the Infotainment radio and switch the music, phone etc to headsets instead of external speakers ? ,,,,,,,,,

Steve ,,,,,,

wow ,,, I have a 2014 Harley Streetglide and 2015 Harley RoadGlide and I did not need to flash either one of them to be able to connect the J&M Headset cable (((here HSPT-H14S Product Information ))) and listen to music and talk on the phone thru the helmet headset ,,,,

and we have installed over 50 of these cables at trade shows just this year, and all of them work perfect without the need to flash anything special into the Harley radio ,,,,,

Will the HSPT-H14S work with a Sena Freewire? what is the difference between this and the HD cable that makes the HD one require a flash? Or does the HD one not really require a flash and it's just another way for the stealership to scam us out of $50?
