Kudos to JM

As a site sponsor, thought I would give my 2 cents regarding their customer service.......

I ordered a helmet (bell pit boss half helmet) with the elite 787 headset built in. The reason for buying is I'm taking a trip from Georgia to Arizona in October and while the harley wrap-around-the-head headset is great, it's tight and riding all day will probably be miserable (I have both of the harley boom headsets, the one that doesn't wrap around the head is more comfortable but fits so dang tight to the ears)......anyhow..........

I ordered the large, against my best judgement based on the website sizing chart. Generally I wear X-large but have worn large in a few helmets over the years. While the large fits, I'm quite sure it's too tight and according to the rep, it won't 'break in' much. I wanted to try the x-large and then make my decision for sure, and ship back either the one I decide not to go with, or if I decide I don't want either, ship them both back. This would put it outside of their 5 day return policy.

They were understanding of my decision and are shipping out the x-large so I can decide. Obviously they are billing me for both but if it goes outside of the 5 day period they will still accept the return (in perfect condition of course).

Sure, it's not a huge thing, but any GOOD customer service is still good.....thanks JM

Kudos to JM

I have used them a few times and always was happy with the experience. Just a couple of months ago got a HJC modular helmet with their elite speakers installed, very happy with the setup.

I have been a J&M customer for the last 5+ years. I agree, it is refreshing to get great customer service.

John and his team have always been great and have worked with me to find the best solution to the few issues I have had with their equipment, several times it was not even their equipment that was at fault, but they helped me solve the issue just the same.

For this reason, I highly recommend them to anyone who will listen

As it turned out, I ended up going up 2 sizes on the helmet. The large was way too tight, the XXL was okay but was still pretty darn snug and according to the folks there, the pit boss doesn't really 'break-in' much. As a result, I actually ended up doing a 3XL. It's maybe slightly loose but not really, feels extremely comfortable, and this allows me to have a little wiggle room if wearing a balaclava etc.

It did suck having to pay to ship back two helmets at about $35 shipping each, but it is what it is. JM was very helpful and the returns were no hassle.
