Bias or radial ply?

I was looking for new tires and while on the Dunlop site, I saw they had AE's with both bias and radial plys available (mostly bias). What are the advantages and or disadvantages of both?
Thanks

Radials are for the lighter bikes. Touring bikes should run bias.

If I have to explain ,you wouldn't under stand anyway.

Why? Not questioning it, just trying to learn.

Hope this helps. You can also check manufacturer's load rating on the tire. Bias will be higher than the radial on an apples to apples comparison.

Thanks Gary. Good read. I always assumed radial tires were a step up from bias ply. Not always the case.
