21" wheel install

Question for all. I'm looking to put a 21 on my 08 RG, and I'm just curious what all is needed to do an install? I was reading about a lowering kit for the front to help with stability, but is that necessary? And what all do I have to do to my stock fender? And help would be great thanks

It is recommended to lower the front one inch but not required know couple friends that did not lower front end riding 21" and rides as good as stock set up.
Fender may need to drill back mounting holes to 3/8 tipping the fender up for clearance. Also know of some cases didn't need to drill.
You can put a 3/8 nut on top of the 21" tire if runs through no need to drill the fender.
Good luck.

What he said. I didn't lower the front (but I am 6'2"). Drilled the holes to adjust the front fender. Works great.

Once I make up my mind, I'm full of indecision.

I didnt need to drill my fender.

I would call hogpro and tell them you are forum member, ask what kind of deals they can give you. They treated me very well when ordering several parts.

Another choice is wanaryd wheels, similar prices to hogpro.

If you have any rallies close by or plan on attending one, they usually have vendors set up and will do mount, install and balance for special rally prices. FTD Customs (Harley wheels, Rinehart Exhaust, Hayabusa Swingarm Extensions, GSXR swingarm extensions, zx14 swingarm extensions, Vance and Hines exhaust, free same day shipping in the USA.) has a good selection and great service. They do their own wheels from start to finish and totally stand behind their work. Amazing group of folks to work with.

I have seen FTD and I like that they have a lifetime warranty.
