Darkside tire size???

I'm not looking for the "normal" darkside debate so please if you haven't put a car tire on the bike then please keep your comments to yourself so we don't have arguments. Thanks.

With that said, I'm 99% sure I'm gonna make the swap this off season so I'm looking for info on what you darksiders use for tires, brands and sizes. I'm looking to try to keep my speedo as accurate as possible but I see that some use a 195 tire up to 205. I'd also like to keep the tire as rounded as a car tire can possibly be on a motorcycle. Any info is greatly appreciated because you know I don't want to "spontaneously combust"

Ran several car tires on a couple of Honda's. Been a long while since I've been there but Delphi Forums has a board for Darksiders for all makes of bikes. I always liked the run flat option.

I'm gonna use the 195 since it's closer to the OEM size, I ran the 205 on my vtx thought it was to wide but looked cool 😀

Yeah I was thinking about the 195 but I'd like to hear what others are using too. I'd like to hear the pros and cons of the different sizes

Rlaf75 , let me know if you feel the CT lowers the rear at all due to the flatness of the tread compared to the rounded mc tire.

This isn't something that's gonna happen this year for me and I also have the monroe air ride in the back so my ride height varies already. I will do my best to keep up updated though . From some research Ive done I found that there is a CT that's pretty close to the diameter of the Mc tire. I just don't remember what it was

Go look at this thread and you'll see that I used a 205 tire on my '11 Ultra, and it was only 1/16" larger in total circumference than the OEM tire which has approx. 8000mi on it.

Rob,
I'm running a Goodyear Eagle Sport 195/55/16 since I did the 124". I figured a better performance tire would put the 130+ hp to the ground better. With the 103 I ran a Yokohama- Avid Ascend? If I remember correctly witch worked well with the 103. This will help you as far as matching a size to what you have on the bike now. I'm not sure what the stock tire size was on a 09? https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalculator I used this and it's pretty damn accurate my speedo is only off by a couple mph.

Cool

I am running a Yokohoma 195/60/16 usually between 30-34 psi depend on load and I run 2 up 98% of time.

I heard after I started running it that the 195/60's have a wobble. I have to say yes upwards of 90mph. But the 195/55 not so much if any from what I heard.

I do it again I am going 205/55.

Brand there are several. You can find info on the Delphi forum and on the Harley Forum under the This and That section look for Darkside.
