Best thing is to not find out. Keep your tires at the manufactures recommended pressure. When I had my hard tail I kept the rear pretty low so I only felt every other crack, rock, bump etc. in the road. Too much air would just about jar your teeth out of your mouth when you hit a bump. On my RG I keep them at 38 lbs. front and back.

Why low on the back , high on the front? Is it just easier remembering one number?

I keep my front and rear at 40 on all 3, but on the 10 if the front is low, the steering especially low speed is noticeably different.
