Powder coated wheels

In the long run, how durable is the finish? I know it's got to be much better than the stock cast wheels.

Way worth the cash for sure.
Mine were powdercoated about a year ago and when properly cleaned, they still look killer.
Very durable.

Powder coating is as good as the person applying it...........

It's been used in the automotive industry for years and in fact I'd speculate that for those of us with factory black or factory black accent type wheels the color we see on our wheels is actually powder coat

Same with the clear coats.

Had my stock cast wheels on an 01 EGC done about 12 years ago. When I had them done he used the latest chrome look that was available then. Very pleased with the results and to this day they have held up really well, no issues what so ever. Also had the 45/90 degree valve stem's installed at the same time. A real bonus especially on the rear wheel. Both wheels brought to him without the tires, plus the stems $150 out the door. Would do it again if the need ever arises.

Powder coated wheels

Getting them powder coated this week with super durable powder coat, in glossy black. I'm told besides the bead blasting, doing a primer coat first adds to the finish and longevity. I am also adding angled billet machined valve stems. I will post pictures once it's all done.

Dropped the wheels off today at the powder coating facility. Getting them done with 80% glossy black and top coated with super durable glossy clearcoat. Can't wait to get them back!
I will post pictures when I get them back as well as when they're back on the bike.
