Question 23" wheel install, Caliper/Rotor upgrade??

So I'm going to build my 08 with a 23", ordered triple trees through Pickard USA and looking at wheels from WanaRyd or RC. I've searched and read through many posts regarding 23" or even 26" installs and none of them address Caliper upgrade.

With a 23" wheel, what caliper/rotor upgrade has everyone done?

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming --WOW -- " What a ride!!!

If your doing a single side caliper to show off the wheel I'd upgrade to a maybe 6 piston caliper and a floating rotor for the addition heat. There should be several threads on here about it.

Maybe not the sexiest but it like having double discs up front on a heavy bike. No matter which way, you should get matching rotors with wheel you choose. Yep this build ain't gonna be cheap but hey it'll look cool

If you want to keep the dual caliper setup then both Performance Machine and HHI make direct bolt on brake calipers that look much nicer than stock and perform well. PM makes a 4 piston direct bolt on and HHI makes a 6 piston. Both would use your stock size 11.8" rotor size. If you are wanting a single disc look then I would recommend a 6 piston caliper/13" rotor combo. PM and HHI both have these options as well.

Yep. Spoken from the experts.

I have a single front caliper and due to financial restraints at the time I didnít get to upgrade my rotor or caliper. But HHI is where itís at, single stock rotor and caliper isnít. (But I wonít lock the front tire up lol)

You can PM if you need more information since we have sold lots of these setups and installed them as well.
