There are times when i am banking into a turn i hear this roaring noise coming from the rear of the bike but as soon as i straighten back up it goes away. Any thoughts

Mine has done that in the very early stages of cupping too & proceeded to get worse.

I have a Michelin II on the rear and no noise coming from it but my original Dunlop makes the roaring noise when i'm in a fairly sharp curve and is quiet when i straighten up. I've checked the wheel bearings and they are fine.

The stock Dunlop for 15 up have softer rubber compound on the sides than the center, could be the sound different. I always have the radio to load to notice tire noise.

Had a front tire do that once. Could actually feel a slight vibration as well.

Was caused by cupping of the front tire. Used it a while longer since it had some life left. It all went away once new tire was put on.
