I'll toss in another scenario. I pay for my ESP separate instead of rolling it into the loan. If I cancel, I get the refund. That happened when I traded my '11 on the '15. I had bought the ESP separate and when I cancelled it, I got a check back.

Not so. What I heard.... Your dealership may do illegal mods and even warranty them. If you're out on the road and need work done at an other dealership, all bets are off. All mods must be epa compliant to maintain warranty on the drive train.

Jhans996 New to this so just trying to understand. So if I get my mods done through the dealer my warranty will be fine? I'm assuming this only applies to aftermarket mods.

you can still cancel it, you just won't get the refund. the bank (or lienholder) will. so indirectly, you're still getting the money, your bike will just be paid for sooner. just don't expect to use that money, right now, for some other mods.

JacktheBagger Is my understanding , when I I traded the 08 RG on the 11 , I got over 1200 of 1800 back , had clear title , if the bike is financed and not paid off , then it's considered part of the note . Is what I was told anyways . I could be wrong and they could have lied to me ..

Is this a new thing? I was going to cancel it on my last bike and when I asked about it the finance gut said nothing about not being able to since I had a note on it.
