Dickie Passenger detachable backrest slides over shock mount and latches to the front of the docking hardware that you cut off.

Little help on 4 point docking system

Hi All, I just purchased a 4 point docking system for my 2013 Road Glide Ultra. I just bought a 19 RGU for long trips and I am going to send the 13 to Daytona to my new condo to have on that side of the USA for Harley runs.. But,,, the front has a spacer which the tour pak mounts on, but it also has an outboard rubber that something else might lock on to. I cut it off, but after thinking about it, I ordered a new one because I don't know what might mount to it. What is the front rubber mount for???? Thanks adown
