Little Wing i had a similar symptom early on with my 18 FLTRX.

felt and sounded like something was "locking up" maybe a bearing or bushing.

disappeared after about 4K miles and haven't heard or felt it since.

currently have 10.5K...

stickman My 19 RG has done this exact thing at least 3 times, but only in 5th gear ! There's an active discussion on the other HD forum about this very issue and several guys have reported the problem. The original poster said it happens on his bike in 6th gear, a few guys said it only happens on their bike in 5th gear, and one guy said it only happens on his bike in 2nd gear.....still trying to figure it out....not ready to drop it off at the dealer yet.
