Road Glide ST and trying not to modify

So, I’ve had the RG ST over a year but my styles have changed. This is my second Roadglide.

im considering selling her and buying a Heritage.
My riding style and needs are just back and forth to work and an occasional trip.

I only owe 18k on the bike, money is NOT the issue.
I rode the LRST and while cool, it’s just a smaller road glide.

I have a small chopper I ride at times and I enjoy taking it around the block but riding an hour to Chicago for work every evening is no bueno every day.

I will always have a Harley, and I love riding but I may have gotten too much bike for my needs. I know this bike is the pinnacle of performance and I have zero complaints… but I’m starting to really want something else. What is wrong with me? Why am I never content with a bike? Does this ever change as I’ve had 9 brand new Harley’s and 12 overall since 2002.
my wife has given up on me years ago because of it, yet she sticks around.

My whatever do you mean?

OP - if tunes are of no concern.....my half a nickel.....wait until 2026 and pick up a 2025 Heritage with the 117, drop in a cam and 2:1 Exhaust of choice, tune as needed and let 'er rip tater chip

You can pop the seat and dial that rear shock in...you'll lose the inverted forks of the RG ST but if you are not throwing it around, the 16 inch front of the Heritage will absorb a lot of the road imperfections

If you've gone through 12 bikes since 2002 and haven't suffered from doing that, keep on doing it if that's what you wanna do. I finally think I'm good after buying a bike each year since 2022 (22 Low Rider ST, traded in on 23 RGST Fast Johnnie, traded in on 24 CVO RGST, added a 25 LRST). It's a sickness. lol

The two Harley's in my garage are awesome and I can't see myself trading either on in or upgrading. Although, if there were ever a CVO LRST I'd be on that like white on rice. ha ha ha

If money is not the issue as you stated then keep the Roadglide and go and get the Heritage.
I bought a new Heritage in 2021 and only have 2,200 miles on it but will never get rid of it.
I pretty sure you could get a good deal on a low mile heritage if you shop around.

My 2024 RG std is my first HD tourer and it’s a big bike, looks big, is big, feels big
and it’s no light weight. I’m 70 yrs old and am used to Softails, since money is a real concern for me I’ll be learning to like this big boy until I can ride no more. A more trim lighter bike for me would have been a better choice. Could knock off a few pounds with a 2 into 1 exhaust and lose the heavier original exhaust system.

To each their own but, if you have a touring bike, honestly I do not see the need to get rid of it. Especially the fact that it’s a ST. I have a Limited and came from a special. My first bike was a 15 Softail Breakout. Loved the bike but wanted a more comfortable and better handling/performing machine. You have both so…..?

I can relate to your dilemma. I’ve also got a ‘25 FLTRXSTSE. I purchased it with the plan to sell my ‘18 FLHCS but I couldn’t bring myself to sell the Heritage. I really don’t ride enough to justify having both, but they are both so great in their own way.
