We left south ga at around 3pm Friday and headed up. We made it a couple hours up the interstate and of course it starts flooding so we stopped under an overpass for about an hour and finally said let's ride past the weather. We did and sure enough it got hot and humid. Stopped and got a room about 3/4 of the way up and went the remainder Saturday morning.

We first come up on nc 28 out of franklin and all I can say is wow!! This road was awesome!! Can't believe I've never heard much buzz about this highway!?! Anyway sure enough by the time we get to Robbinsville it rains for about 2 hours and then here came the sunshine. We let it dry out a bit and headed over to deals gap and rode the dragon! This road was not as bad as advertised, I mean people have so many horror stories that its kind of intimidating. You just gotta respect it, and we did just that.

We rode from the dragon and headed over to the cherohala skyway. This was quite possibly the longest 36 miles of my life, but it was great scenery. You can actually get your speed up too fast on this road if not careful!

Our final day we rode the entirety of the moonshiner 28 beginning in NC, passing across the tip of GA, and into SC. This road never let's up its 103 miles of twisty fun. This was my most favorite road that we got to travel on!! We headed back home the next day but I can't wait to go back. I encourage everyone to go to this part of the country at least once in their lifetime!

Just got through with about a 1600 mile trip from southern middle Tennessee with my son and goodmanhd. The roads weren't that great, all interstate but the 110th party in the middle of the trip was amazing.
