I can not decide on new bars for my 2018 CVO RG. I want 14 apes. I want definitely 1.5” thickness and i ended my search with Factory 47. But I like if the bars are little bit rolled forward. The Factory 47 seems to me from pictures pretty straight.

Anyone have rolled forward apes? I am just 5 8” so rolling forward can not be too much... but imo rolling forward makes the bike look even better compare straight bars.

I found Bindford customs who make them exactly as i like but i do not see any refferences. Their webpage is under construction. Below video shows what i mean. I also attach one picture. Anyone have experience with Binfords?

Another company is BR customs and they have bars called sweeping beaters rolled forward. But seems to me they are rolled too much.

I am from Europe, only few roadglides around, all with stock bars... so hard to choose for me and simplest solution seems to me just order the Factory 47 directly from their online shop....

Handlebars...man, there are tons of threads on handlebars...I honestly think its all personal preference...
Blondes, Brunettes, Redheads...Glock, S&W, Springfield...I don't think there is anyone who can decide but you.

Can I ask what part of Europe do you live in? My parents live in Poland and Im 1st gen born in the US. I thought about this for months...ended up going with the HD Fat Apes...15" and they are awesome! Im only 5'9" and I have no issues with the height of the bars!! (I wanted a more traditional bend in the bars)

I don't know if its harder to get parts where you are at, but there are a good number of retailers out there that will ship worldwide! I had great luck with MCBaggers (an example) and they are based out of South Korea.

Factory 47 will treat you well if you decide to go that route.
Good luck with your quest!!

I went with JSR Customs and had them custom make me a set for an amazing price. Great customer service. Have them in 12" rise. I'm 5' 9" and have a stock seat. I have shorter arms so they have a bend at the bottoms like the ones that are made for the batwings to bring them a little closer. They are 1 1/4" bars though. Not sure if they make 1.5" diameter, I stopped looking after I got these because they fit so well.

Might want to find a bike on a dealership floor with Apes and give it a try just to determine the reach for you. I'm sure they're plenty of guys on this forum that same height and reach that could advised you. Plus you can always change your seat to move you up or back if what you choose its exactly right but close. Post your reach length with your height I'm sure guys on here can square you away based off that. Good luck post pics with how it all works out.

I really dig the look of ape pushed forward, especially on bobbers and sport bikes. With that said though, now that I’m getting up in the years a bit, I value comfort over cool. For me when I ride my Glide, I like to sit back and up straight. Pushing the bars forward puts the rider in a bit of a forward lean and more in a aggressive type riding position. I do like that position when riding my bobber, but when I riding my bobber I am usually riding fast and aggressive and leaning forward a bit makes me feel more in control. This is just my opinion though and what works for me in terms of being comfortable isn’t necessarily going to work for the next guy.

I did 14" apes on my 2013 RG Custom and rolled them forward a bit. I'm 6'2" and still use the rider backrest with no problem. I like the forward lean on the bars. I had to trim notches out of my 14" Klock Werks windshield to clear my cables when turned lock to lock but is a good riding position.

I am from Czech republic so close to Poland. But i actually live on west part close to German border city called Pilsen. 1 hour from Prague direction to Germany..

I checked tens of threats and posts about handlebars but almost no one with bars rolled forward. So there must be some reason why....

The Binfords ones looks closest what i like. I sent them message, lets see.... i am still on the fence between those or straight Factory 47. I am not sure if the Binfords are 1 1/2 or 1 1/4. There is no info about them, only facebook pictures.I definitely want 1 1/2. I also prefer comfort over look, for this reason i jumped from softails to touring this year. And i understand rolling forward makes the ride less comfortable especially with my height. I suppose in case of rolled i would have to take 12” rise but in case of straight i can go with 14”... The Binfords seems to me 13”. So at the end, i might end up with Factory 47.

As i stated before, there is 0 chance for me to try it before purchase. No roadglides around and if yes, stock bars only....

Here is another video of Binford bars. They are rolled forward in the bottom. Not sure if they are 1 1/2... but he say they have in stock 13” rise which may be good compromise between 12 and 14 for me.

I have 12” Vindicta Wildcats on my 17. They are a tiny bit past the forks. I like the look of them pushed forward, but at 5’5” this is it for me. Good look on your choice.

Check out carlini gangster apes, they sweep forward to give that rolled look. I prefer my bars like you do and had been looking at every picture online. Saw the gangsters and bought them on the spot.
Yeah the Carlini gangster apes look great with perfect rolled look. But they are not meathooks unfortunately.....

+1 on Vindikta. If your considering f47 you need to take a look at the Vinditka Wildcats before pulling the trigger.
I checked the Vindikta Wild cats but version for Rushmore roadglides seems to me pretty straight. They look to me same as Factory 47. Version for Road Kings are rolled and they look killer.
