Ok...here is the down and dirty. By being in the right place at the right time, I found a new un-opened 120R crate engine. $3700.00 would buy it.

My Ultra would have to keep the brown ugly stripes for a year... and my other plans for black would get put on hold for a year too. Plus I would not put the motor in until I tore down for re-paint next winter...

I value your thoughts...

Gotta tell you that the trigger finger is itchy....

For that cost, tear it done, plug and weld the crank, upgrade any weak links that are assoiciated with it, clean up the heads and buy two new rear tires for spares. Steve Cole (TTS) bought a 120R and tore it down to see what kind of workmanship went into the 120R and he found some things and "updated" them before putting the engine into his Street Glide, some of his findings were "disturbing". Check out his findings on:

Big Dog...Thank-you! That was a telling read! I will take your advice, and tear her down before she goes in. I know it will be a year before it sees the motor mounts anyway, and that will give me the time to make sure it's in there for the duration.

I am so darn excited though...

Harley has a 58mm, HPI has a 55 mm if you send them your electronics. You can also send them your 58 and they can clean up the 58 and put a larger intake on the backside of it, but they request you test it first to be sure it operates correctly.

I put the 55mm on my wifes 2011 limited ultra with the 5.3gm/sec injectors and the ventilator air cleaner with bassani road rage 2 into 1. made 130 hp and a 120 tq. Runs great and only needed to add in the heavy spring from harley for the clutch barely noticable pull difference.
