+1Dyno sheets cant be ridden , never put any faith in them , to me they serve no purpose other than to say 'look at what mine does' .
Just numbers , heads up for pink slips is the determining factor ..
Don't claim to be the expert that Scott or Frank are , but I been doing this since 1971 on the street and building hot rod Harleys since around 1975 or so , and 185 HP out of a 131 is 1.4 HP per cubic inch , that's a far stretch normally aspirated , it might be possible , but it definitely , IMO would not be a street ride or very reliable ..
Be hard pressed to get much over 1 HP per CI without some very serious work beyond what you have listed here ..

Don't hide behind a vague sarcastic blurb.....you want to say something, I'm sure the mods here will be all ears as well........He's also known in the industry as having a very happy dyno.Which I guess is a good thing if your an engine builder and he's tuning your build.![]()
No hiding here Scott just saying a "Happy Dyno" can be an engine builders best friend.Don't hide behind a vague sarcastic blurb.....you want to say something, I'm sure the mods here will be all ears as well........
Cool story Bro................I don't have the sheets.. They weren't kept when dynoed.. Its Just numbers in my opinion. spinning through 4th gear just playing with the throttle gives me enough joy. I know the previous owner and builder along with everyone local, its a very well known build around here. I was just commenting on a s&s build since that was the topic lol and don't quote me on those details of the build. Just things I've over heard when it was done years ago. But I assure you those where the numbers when done. I have no reason to make things up
Good luck with that... Someone is full of it.If it was a normal 131, it wouldnt make this power at all n/a... With the stroker crank it made 185whp/200lbtrq n/a millinium jugs. Can't recall the exact compression. 13 to 1 if I member correctly. S&s 625 cams. S&s crank and rods. Over sized valves. Heavy Port and polished heads. Oversized injectors. Hpi throttle body. Screaming eagle oil pump. Stage 3 race tuner. Thunder header exhaust. Much more, thats just what I remember off the top of my head. It was build nearly 3-4 years ago. Has near 15k miles on it now still running strong. No Dyno sheets. Billy at Snake ranch cycles built the motor
I've heard that a lot but I had my dyno'd at Pocono Harley and I was not happy with it. I took it to Joe's I stood there as they put it on dyno and ran it. It actually dyno'd 1 hp and 1tq lower then what it did at the Harley place. He's also known in the industry as having a very happy dyno.Which I guess is a good thing if your an engine builder and he's tuning your build.![]()
Yeah if you think you are actually at 185/200 without, nitrous, turbo, supercharger ect, I am willing to bet you arent even close.. but you are right only numbers as long as you are happy on how it runs then you are golden..I don't have the sheets.. They weren't kept when dynoed.. Its Just numbers in my opinion. spinning through 4th gear just playing with the throttle gives me enough joy. I know the previous owner and builder along with everyone local, its a very well known build around here. A Long Island-based tuning center, that comes up to Joe's for training on occasion has witnessed the same/same on multiple occasions where he has brought bikes up to train on, or problematic bikes he was having a tough time with that he has hand-carried to Joe's.I've heard that a lot but I had my dyno'd at Pocono Harley and I was not happy with it. Then Joe tuned it and picked up little more than 10/10 needless to say it was a different bike than before I took it there
Both sae so if his dyno is happy I don't know what to say But I think its the customers that go there that are happy . Have had several bikes there always ran great cool and smooth
Why the "vague sarcastic blurb" towards fellow competitors?A Long Island-based tuning center, that comes up to Joe's for training on occasion has witnessed the same/same on multiple occasions where he has brought bikes up to train on, or problematic bikes he was having a tough time with that he has hand-carried to Joe's.
The PA outfit..........well, I'll just leave that alone.
