15+ Lower Fairings options - other than black

ok, looked at ebay and prices seem good.

HOWEVER, I have an Amber Whiskey bike so Vivid or Denim Black isn't going to work. By the time I pay a painter to paint them, I'm around HD prices of $550.

Does anyone know of anything aftermarket that can be had in Amber Whiskey and be less than $550?

I have emailed hogworkz but hadn't heard anything back from them yet.

They would seem to be the ones to talk to in my findings. If they don't do it, I know of no other. Seems crummy that no one seems to take that on other than the MoCo. You should have just bought a black one like everyone else like I did! lol :laugh:

If you hear back from Hogworkz, please share what you learn. I am on this same path for a 2016 Velocity Red RGS. I am looking for the lower fairings and either 4" extended bags or CVO style bags. The problem is, I need paint and pinstripes. Does your Amber bike have pinstripes?

I am going to email or call Hogworkz this week.

BTW ! rock103 !, asked this on the other forum... what is the extra part I need for OEM lowers? I don't see any listing on the HD site that says I need another part

You don't "need" the part I was mentioning for the new style "wet head" lowers. But would be nice to cover that screen area where the radiator parts go on the liquid cooled models. You should be able to see the difference in the pics below: Please excuse the crummy SG pic :surprise:

OMG...I didn't say you had to buy extra parts lol. Those lowers offered by Fairing Factory for half the price of Harley has vents that are permently open where the radiator fits. I mentioned one COULD buy cover to cover them up in the absence of all the wet head plumbing...

got an email back from hogworkz (on sunday evening no less!) and they will paint the lowers.

I think their about to get a shit load of business!

Lowers WITH speaker pods painted to match were less than HD lowers from Boardtraker :eek:

Thanks for following up.

When the lowers are painted to match the bike, are the speaker surrounds painted the same color? I think I would like the looks of the speaker pod being painted vivid black with the rest of the lower being painted the matching body color. I think it would match the look of the painted black inner fairing. Not sure if the parts allow it to really work out that way.

yup they are separate pieces, my quote include painting the lowers and the speaker pods. I'm only having the lowers painted I think (I have some other speaker pods I'm going to test first).

I'll call tomorrow to make sure they'll cut the tops 2" before painting, if so I'll be ordering a set :)
