Really enjoyed the back story anyway! When it comes to modern vehicles I've always been a Ford guy... especially their trucks. I have a 2010 F-250 and a 1965 F-350. But when it comes to classic muscle cars I've leaned toward Chevys (Mopar lovers throw stuff!) My dream car has always been the '63 Splitwindow Corvette, but unless the Powerball is in my future I'll just have to stare at pictures! LOL
You 'Strokin ?? Not gonna buy a new one this late in life and don't "need" a 'Stroker .. Rented an '18 250 gas burner 4WD crew cab XLT in May and put about 900 miles on it .. Rode like a dream boat .. Hopin' they will put the new 7 liter in the SD ..

I will look for a good used one , love to find a 450 or 550 with the wide track front end .. Lot here has a '11 PS 350 Lariat dually , haven't looked at it up close , has sat there for over a month and he has knocked 4 off his starting price and is still at 26 , proud of them indeed ..

Yes, definitely strokin'! I looked into a new truck a few years ago but a $66K price tag had me running... didn't want one that badly! LOL I found my 2010 at a killer price and low miles so I jumped. My fiancé had one with the 7.3 some years ago and wishes they would come back with that one.

I had a 7.3 , they are sweet .... Next year or year after I will either get a new or year old gas burner 250 or 350 or find a PS within reason , people around here are proud of them .. I think they have worked a lot of the 6 point uh oh and 6-4 issues out with the new motor .. But I think most issues people had with those was when they started messing with them , not knowing wtf they are doing ..

If I had a boat load of cash , I'd drop a 6.7 come a long in the SD and hitch it all to an Allison gearbox .. or build a super single 450 or 550 . Guy in Mississippi has a super single crew cab 650 with a bed in it and a 7.2 cat for sale .. Another dood in georgia builds custom 650's and 750's , along with a real sweet price tag to boot ..

That's my issue right now. I'm in my mid-fifties and really don't want to take on a huge payment. I dropped the Jeep off yesterday for recall work and passed a Ford dealership that was right next door. There was a BEAUTIFUL red F350 there... with a $91K price tag! Maybe when the Powerball Commission notifies me of my winnings?

I'm with ya brother, I turn 67 next month. Got a fair amount of physical ailments but based on the progression the last couple years, it'll be the arthritis that eventually keeps me from riding. I was lucky enough to find love for the second time in my adult life (after a divorce after 40 years of marriage). My GF and I get up each day with a good attitude and a sense of adventure and a determination not to give in to the aches and pains. Our primary goal is to have a little fun and a few laughs each day. Life is so much better with a smile and a positive attitude.

OK, back to the Impala. I finally tracked down the upholstery guy that I'd been looking for. He worked for 20+ years at the best shop in this area and went on his own late last year. All I had was a first name but no number, address, or last name. I finally talked with a guy at a small local 'cars and coffee' event that gave me his name and number. I contacted him on Tuesday and will go check out his shop tomorrow. If all looks and sounds good I'll bring the Impala over next week for him to take a hard look so he can give me a quote on the job. Hopefully I'll have a new completed interior within 60-90 days.
