I have a 2007 RG with a thundermax tuner. One day I was riding down the road and the thing just quit, kind of like i bumped the engine cut off switch. I found the 15A ignition fuse was blown. I installed a new one and about a mile down the road it quit again. After a couple of times of this I made it home and started tearing things apart, chasing wires and thumbing through schematics. Following an undisclosed amount of time I gave up and took it to an independent mechanic. He found that the rear O2 wiring harness was ran between the frame and transmission and had worn a hole through the insulation. He said he could turn the ignition on and dead short the thing to the frame and nothing would happen. Only when he started the motor and shorted it to the frame for a period of 30 seconds or so would the thing finally blow the ignition fuse. Everything is working good now. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about another electrical gremlin slain.
