Just got the new '10 P&A catalog & noted the custom tin option for '09/'10 models .......

they're really accentuating the 'air swept' profile of the RG, and for only $5550 !

...... was @ Mile Hi HD in Parker this afternoon, and they had one'a these on the floor.
......... it's pretty impressive up close & personal,........ MoCo DOES have a great paint shop !

.............. the little note on the tank said 45 of 200

........ maybe if MoCo really gets into offering 'option pkgs' in 2011+ they'll offer to let us order a custom paint set along w/the optional 103&ABS

Don't do it unless your ready to trade in.... the new frames will change your mind right away.

Are the new frames really that much of an improvement? I really love my rg but now you guys have me thinking about going in and trying out a new one.

The best advice I can give,.. is just try one. But don't try one, unless your ready to buy that day,.. they are that much of a difference.
From my experience, and every guy I know that has an 09' or 10' the new frame was long overdue and its something that I am not willing to change from.. ever. Its a world of difference, it really is.
The only place I have read anything different, is the HD Forums,.. where 95% of those jokers don't belong on 2 wheels,.. much less giving opinions. I also think if anyone disagree's that the new frames aren't a better ride, they are only telling themselves that to justify not buying a new bike.
Thats why I say try it for yourself. No one knows you better then you, and you will have the answer and no longer wonder. I don't regret my decision for a second.

I have to admit I like the look of the 09 and 10" better...they tend to flow more. I guess I will just have to wander up to the dealer and take theirs out for a test drive. Maybe I'll be lcky and it wont be there anymore lol.
I do agree that a change to the RG was long overdue though. As much as I love mine there are design changes I would have made.

I made the mistake on riding one now I own one. I had a few bucks into my 08 SG and I really loved that bike. But when I took the 10 RG for a ride it was like night and day for me. Let me put it this way on a 1 to 10 scale for bagger vs bagger. Old frame ride and handling 3 to 4. Add the bagger brace type addition pushs you up to a 5. The new set up in my opinion pushs the bike to a 7 or 8. To get any higher you need better shocks and you need to fix the front end.
