Picked up my 2011 OEM FLTRX seat yesterday and placed it on my 2010 last night. I road it to work and home today and it works well. Much better riding position on the bike than the 2010 standard seat. I'm still very concerned about the padding holding up. So BadX (Mean City Cycles), I guess I will be seeing you in the next few weeks to get the foam replaced with something much better.

Bought it online and paid $147.00 or so. I've put about 500 miles or so on the seat this weekend. I really enjoy the seat position, but I can tell the foam will not hold up or at least my Azz can tell.

I believe this one was worth the little bit spent and will make a good long term seat with new foam.

Does it sit you down and back any compaired to stock? I am thinking of getting the La Pera Maverick Daddy Long Legs for two up, I like my Corbin Young Guns for solo.

It does sit you down, although not as much as I believe most people want compared to the 2010 seat. About a 1/2 inch from what I can tell. As to sitting you back, I don't believe it does this at all based off my seat of the pants feel. The passenger portion of the seat is a little wider and padded much better than the 2010 model. All in all it's a much better seat for me, but I'm not sure it will be for everyone, but for the price it's quite a deal.

I'm not sure what the fixer block is? It's a direct replacement and requires no additional attachments to the seat or bike.

NCBeast, based on previous post by you and some interaction, I would doubt this would be a good solution for your height and leg length, as it does not move you back any from what I can see and I'm not sure how much it could be modified to move you back. I like the seated position so much that I will be moving both the brake and shifter 2" forward with this seat to address any of my leg room concerns.

I will be using extended shifter and brake pedal. There are plenty of them on the market. I had always used EZbrake and shifter in the past, but cannot seem to find the site I used for these on the net these days. There is also the company softbrake and quite a few others.

big guy, i just put the kuryakyn extended brake on my 10, its part number 1071. i also had the ezbrake on my old bike and liked it a lot. i would say the positioning of the brake, kuryakyn vs ez brake, is very very close. picked mine up at eastern performance for $78, shipped. pretty good price i thought. heres a pic for you if youre still deciding...

Does anybody out there know if these seats (2010-2011) will be a direct bolt-on for the 2008 glides? I really don't mind the comfort level of the rider seat but the wife doesn't particularly care much for the back seat. Other than that, the old '08 is perfect!

The set is a direct bolt on for all FLT models 08 - 11. So the answer is yes.

Just got mine today. I had to drive the truck to work this morning to bring in some supplies so the scoot is at the house but it will be here tomorrow.

Worked on a 11 Screaming Eagle Street Glide this past Saturday, same seat different cover as what comes on the bikes stock. I was able to lower the riding position some and narrow the sides of it. What suprised me most was the cover was all vinyl. The SE seats use to be leather but over the past few years the leather has slowly been replaced a panel at a time and now there isn't any on them...cheap cheap cheap.

Picked up mine the other day. What an improvement over the 10 model! The seat really makes you feel like you are sitting in the bike rather than on it. Much more Comfortable. The 10" Windvest worked great before but with the lower riding position of the seat it works even better now!
