They fit. However there can be differences. Look at the shape of the passenger section you will notice a few differences. This can happen even on same years bikes.
Wife was not happy with the 2013 I changed it. The 2016 she thought he section could be better. Got her a hammock seat she liked it.
The 2017 she preferred the stock seat. I have 3 seats down stairs latter I can line them up and you will see the difference in the shapes of the passenger section.
of course I am referring to the RGU. The RG does not really have a passenger seat.
