2015 FLTRUSE Road Glide Ultra CVO Stock Windshield

Just got my 2015 RG CVO and the sound system suxs compared to my 2002 Ultra Classic with the old HD stereo/cassette deck, hog tune speakers and my iphone plugged into her. I love the stability of the shark fairing on the RG however the sound system suxs due to wind as I'm sure your all aware. One of the selling points the stealership kept talking about was the amazing sound system it sounds great sitting there however at highway speeds it may as well be turned off. I would sure like to hear the music at highway speeds, anyone had any luck with different windshields regarding the wind noise? I've read alot about alot of different brands, klock works, windvest etc. but nothing that anyone has said about wind noise, we ride without helmets in the wonderful state of WY and the wind noise on this new CVO is about as bad as I have every experienced..... thanks for the help

I tried a Cee Bailey Contoured windshield and found the wind noise still drowned out the radio. Rather than try another windshield I switched to a Madstad. It works great and riding at 70mph today, never had any problems. I do wear a 3/4 helmet and when I rode through Kansas, never doing that again, the wind drowned out everything.

I recently installed the Kloclwerks pro on my 2015 and while better still not as windless as my 2008 Honda with a Street Glide fairing. With the WK pro the top part kicks the wind just over my helmet but then the windshield drops down and that kicks it just around my helmet. Any cross wind at all and its in my face and my helmet is shaking.beginning to think I dropped a lot of $$ on a bike I don't like. I have a VTX1800 that I installed a SG fairing and you could light a cigarette going down the road if you wanted

'Rode my Bud's (stock) '15 CVORGU the other day, I (6'4") am very impressed with the Aero Management, no buffeting, nothing but clean air up to 90, (that's all we had room for :D). "The Ball & Chain" (BSR) remarked that the Aero might be a little better than the "SHORT BUS" (dialed in) which is saying a lot for her.

I didn't pay attention to the configuration of the vents, if you haven't already, you might want to try different configurations before spending $ on windshields...

Also make sure the Crash Bar Flaps are (properly) installed...

While the stock stereo is not quite as good as the J&M Rokkers (4) and 500x4 setup in The "SHORT BUS" if the '15 was mine, I wouldn't change a thing...

I have the same 2015 CVO RGU as you and have no problem hearing the radio doing 90 on the interstate. Have you tried turning on the AVC? It has to be turned off and then on each time the bike is started. It does boost the volume a lot. I am 5-11 and slouch a little when I ride so that may be your issue if your tall.

Putting a MadStad on a CVO is punishable by death.

The CeeBaily shields have always worked great for me. Along with Long Ride Shields... in fact they were / are running a 50% of sale.

Copy that, there will be no Madstad on this bike anytime soon, played around with the fairing vents and auto volume control in the stereo and it sounds much better........... like I said before, still getting used to having a new bike, one thing for sure, she is pretty sweet!!!!

I am 5'9" and I run a klock werks 14" sport flare. I get zero dirty air, but still get a nice breeze and I can here my music at any speed. Minimal buffering with the vents opened or closed and I also live in a helmet free state. Best windshield for the bike in my opinion.
