I'm in the middle of swapping my fork sliders to some black powder coated ones I purchased and I have hit a snag. I cannot break the allens in the forks by hand, the pinch bolts are not holding the fork tight enough to keep it from turning and I don't have air or a vice. I took the forks and the lowers to the dealership and they wanted 198 to swap the lowers fill with oil etc. Am I the only one having this much trouble breaking these bolts? The service manual doesn't describe how to break these bolts so my next stop is probably an independent shop. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue or had some suggestions. I posted in the fork slider thread but got no response, I'm guessing everyone else is riding!
