I would like to get some opions on using a lowering brackets for the rear suspension with factory shocks.

The eBay 1-3 inch drop kits won't work on the new adjustable shocks without cutting the bracket. Supposedly Covington Customs makes a bracket that will fit the new shocks but it only comes in a 1 inch drop.
I liked the 2 inch drop on my 2012 but frequently scraped my pipes. I ended up with 1 inch and called it good. I will look for Covington when in Sturgis and hope they have their new brackets for sale at a discount.
