I'd like to replace my stock bulbs with a couple of SpeedMetal LED Conversion kits. I've got the headlight housing (pics of front and back included) off, but I'm not sure how to get into it so I can access the bulbs. Any advice or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

The lights in the new RG's are LED. IIRC the manual states that the bulbs are sealed in the housing & are not replaceable. You have to replace the entire assembly.

The new lights are LED and I'm not sure the bulbs are replaceable. They are an enclosed like the older Daymakers and you replace the whole assembly. Really don't think you would gain anything as they are pretty bright to begin with.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The stock LEDs are pretty good, not sure you are going to do any better with aftermarket.

I didn't know the stock bulbs were LED. Thanks much for the info. I'll stay with the stock headlights.
Wow, how could you not know the stock Rushmore lights were LEDS? My lights are the brightest lights on a car or motorcycle I've ever been around. They put out the whitest white and I can't believe how much you can see with them adjusted properly.

^^^^^^+++++++

Cant beat em in the fog either. They effin rock. IMO one of the better things Harley has done in recent years. Unlike the head unit on the 15 which IMO leaves a lot to be desired. I mean WTF is up with no RCA connectors?!? Really?

The new lights are one of the best parts of the bike. Why would you change them?

Rode mines from Mt Vernon NY to Daytona Fl this past Oct 15 for Biketoberfest & these LED headlamps are by far the best I've had on all the bikes I've owned (18 hours straight because i missed the Auto train by 15 minutes )

Yea, stock daymakers on these newer RG's are pretty righteous. I love mine. I have no want or need to make them even more excessive.

Hell, even the little accent light bars in the headlight look awesome when you turn your steed to "accesory".

YES!!! I have to admit that I was not the one who found this little "gem"... my fiance was fooling around in the garage and wanted some music so she just twisted the ignition not knowing what she was doing and turned it to ACC then I saw it. I was pretty stoked by that because it just looks so damn cool. These headlights are some of the best ones I have seen on pretty much any bike I've ever rode/owned.
