Just dropped my '15 off for service in Little Rock, went into the showroom to find the wife and what do I see?
2016 110 SE in 1 of 400 paint set? skunk livery, all blacked out except engine. Tall black bars and controls,

A mere $61,000 plus tax and title.

Wife says I can't have it, didn't have my phone so no pic I'll try to grab one when I pick mine up next week. They say it is factory 1 of 145 I believe may have been 150 anyone else seen one?

They had one just as you've described in the HD tent at the Daytona Speedway on display. It's a nice looking black and white paint scheme but it's not a Skunk. They only made the Skunk in 2012. >

The first Skunk they offered had me . I would have purchased one but I could not live with the skulls. I just have no use for them on a bike.
But give credit where it is due the bike was sharp .

Dealers that get those paint sets have to spend a certain amount to accessorize a bike in order to get that limited edition paint set. In doing so the price goes up exponentially for a potential customer. Even if you have money to burn that would be a bad purchase. Some big VP will walk in and decide he just has to have it and cut a check. Happens more often than most of us think. Stupid price for what that bike is.

I saw the bike on Landers FB page. I wasn't sure how much they wanted for it and I was kinda curious, but 61K is crazy money for that bike. I've got an appointment to have a service done on the 21st of this month before I head down to FL to ride to the Keys, so I'm pretty sure I'll have a chance to look at it in person unless someone as a ton of money burning a hole in their pocket between today and the 21st. lol

I prefer this one over the original skunk paint scheme, but even if you call it a CVO, I just don't see $21,000 in upgrades over a stock $40k CVO(which is WAY overpriced as well)! NO WAY!

You could build this exact bike yourself with a local good painter for less than $4000 and that is the upper end of the price range. Pulling stuff off and having it powder coated, easy, peasy. Pulling tins and fairing and stuff off for painting, same thing. The only thing you need is the extended lower bags. I don't get it.

Hey Smarty I don't think you are seeing all the little details in that paint scheme. I think it would be higher for an exact match on the details or something similar. I believe that white is a pearl paint also so it would be done in 2 to 3 stages. But to your point yes you could build that bike with a 120 or an S&S 124 for less money.

MOCO sells the paint set, any idea how much then you have all the take offs, this high dollar option and you don't have the takeoffs.

My Dealer has number 28 out of 400. I rode it about a month ago. Paint is different. Pearl and watermarks in the between the black and white. Looks good. I think the 2012 skunk looks better. Don't remember the exact $ amount but it was less than $61k for sure.

I don't think you can buy just the tins. Dealers put in bids for this paint set last year when the new bikes came out and if they won the bids they had to purchase like 10-15k worth of accessories to build this bike with. Can't remember all the specifics but I looked into the tins last August and that is what I was told. Not only are you paying for all the parts they had to buy to get the tins but they are going to charge you the max on all their labor. Some dealers may be willing to negotiate more than others.

For $61k it'd need to be A LOT rarer then 1 out of 145!! They had the same one that someone pictured here that's black and white at my local dealer accessorized exactly the same or close to it for $41k. I think when you get up in that price range the best way to spend that kind of money is on a CVO.

Of course if ya wanna upgrade a CVO, especially the black and white skunk of a few years ago here's Covington Customs take on it....

$61k ? don't feel the love. Better of buying a 2012 or 13 and customized, bad a$$ engine paint wheels and stereo leaving money for touring trips beer and food.
