Iam surprised HD is even building 2019's with all the new 2017's sitting in dealers showrooms. Instead of "new" paints maybe a "new" business plan offering discounted prices might be a better alternative. Or even a better ordering plan with options and motor sizes

So true. I still see a lot of 2017 inventory at dealers. I'm a sucker for Orange/Black, so depending on how it looks I may be in trouble...

Maybe in certain parts of the country but a buddy of mine just bought a 2018 RG because the dealer didnt have any 2017 bikes.

By me, it depends on the model. The dealer is loaded up with 2017 Street and sportser models. There are no Road Glides left over. In fact, I don't think I saw a 17 Road Glide on the floor since around last November.

Are those dealers trying to get MSRP for those '17s? I know Harley isn't discounting to the dealer so if the dealer didn't move it then they are the ones stuck with the reduced profit.

Looks like my dealer may have found a new '17 Olive Gold RG in IA for a donor bike for the tin swap. I am cautiously optimistic.

My next bike will definitely be a two tone RGU or RG Limited in either red/gold or red/silver.

Wicked red with Barracuda Silver.... hmmmmmm... would have to see it when the 19 RG Ultra comes out. I think pairing the Barracuda Silver with the Twisted Cherry would’ve been a better choice. If my Velocity Red Sunglo was with that Barracuda Silver...I would be all over it.

I have seen '17's with signs displayed on the bike for discounts of around $2500- and that was a while ago. Have also seen them sitting on the showroom floor just like usual with no signage...

I spend 1/2 my time in NJ and 1/2 in FL. Ride back and fourth so get a pretty good sampling of dealers around the east coast.

I've been told the 17's are 2K less than an 18, unless it a "got have it color"
Iam not in the market for a new bike, so I haven't sat down to work numbers

Yeah I’m just sittting here kinda laughing at myself. Of all the technological wonders being touted on motorcycles, I’m reading about the exciting new Harley colors and what gets blacked out. I like my Road Glide, but funny perception.

Thanks! I actually looked at trading it in for a 2018, but when they said they would give me $14K for mine, I laughed and left. Guess I'll keep it longer than I thought I was going to..

Yea that's messed up but they are called stealer for a reason, give you 14K then turn around and try to sell for 22K (might be exaggerating / might not??).

Hi Guys
just found this on another forum HD colors are out for 2019
two tone specials - guess Ill be getting a 2019 Billiard Blue >:)
have not seen actual colors yet but the list says a lot
Thanks for the heads up on the new colors. I’m just getting getting familiar with my 2018 FLTRXS in White. I see that white won’t be back for 2019. My only choices were black or white; and after many black HDs over many decades, the thought of another black HD would have me running. I like the white. A riding buddy has a new 2017 White Street Glide; interesting, his white is slightly different than my white.
